PROJECT IDEATION
Commonly in most games, the dynamic between the player and the NPCs are that users are attacking AI-controlled giants and monsters. In the case of this game, we instead explore how it feel to take the perspective of the Giant.
For further development with the current mechanics of this game, PC users can play against VR which will effectively expose a wider audience to virtual environments as opposed to traditional PC vs PC games. It is also a way to build bridges between developing countries where people may not have the accessibility to immersive technologies. The VR vs PC game allows users to enjoy enhanced action and combatting features with reduced motion sickness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
For this project, I was responsible for creating the environment for gameplay, mapping and texturing, as well as some of the development included in the game. I had to ensure that the colliders were applied with alternating masses for the interactable objects when creating the scene. I faced some challenges when adding certain features such as the ODM (flying) gear physics through raycasting and adding velocity.
